In the Air

Saturday, November 21st, 2009

Right now I am flying to Boston, MA via Delta.  I guess we are flying over Virginia I figure.  Delta is offering free wi-fi on the plane so I am able to get a little work done.  I will be traveling to North Adams, MA tonight to be with Pastor Eric Malachuk and the First Bible Baptist Church.  I will be preaching/speaking in both services tomorrow.  Please pray all goes well.
Don’t forget to go ahead and sign up for the Our Generation Summit.  It is only a few weeks away.

Our Generation Summit 2010

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

What can happen in 48 hours?  To put it simply, the world can change. Think back just a few years, things were different from the morning of September 10, 2001 to the morning of September 12, 2001. People thought differently, lives were changed, and the world has never been the same.

It’s not much longer till the start of the Our Generation Summit. It will be two days of life challenging preaching and teaching from preachers like Austin Gardner, Tony Howeth, Ronald Tubillas and Trent Cornwell. Hear and spend time with missionaries from all over the world like Tyler Masters (North Africa), Kevin Hall (South Africa), and more!

These 48 hours can change your life, cause you to think differently but ultimately can affect the world for God’s glory! Deadline to register for the Our Generation Summit is December 3. Go to www.OGSummit.info to register and for more information. You don’t want to miss this!

Yesterday, Amy and I were at Central Fellowship Baptist Church in Macon, GA for the AM and PM service.  We had a great meeting with Pastor Rodney Queen.  I would ask you to pray for Mrs. Queen.  She just had a hip replacement last week and will be recovering for about six weeks.

Pastor Queen gave me an opportunity to present all our events and trips we offer.  I was encouraged to see several that were interested.  If you are interested in going on one of my trips please let me know.  You can go to my web site for more information.  I will try to get all the information updates this week.

Living Hero for Me

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

Pastor Brent Armstrong has been writing post about his top “Living heros.” Coming in at number #11 is my pastor, Austin Garnder, who is also one of my heros. I thought it was a great article and wanted to share it with all of you.  Bro. Austin has been a help and encouragement to so many people.  I have seen him sacrifice for others like no other man I have ever met.

Lots of Driving

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

I wanted to update everyone on what the Coffey family has been up to in the last few weeks.

On October 14th we took off driving from Georgia to Tucson, AZ to be in Tuscon Baptist Temple’s missions conference with Pastor Brent Armstrong. All I can say about their conference was awesome! The church people where definitely on board with the conference. They were bubbling over with excitement. It was great to see how Pastor Armstrong prepared them for the great week. It was definitely a privilege to be a part of their first ever missions Conference.

From there we drove back to Georgia where I was able to get home and preach the Sunday morning service at our home church. Our Pastor’s dad was on the verge of passing away so Bro. Austin wasn’t able to make it to the service. Bro. Charles- aka Papaw, ended up passing away later on that week. It was great to hear about the godly heritage he left behind. I pray that when I go home to be with the Lord I will be able to make the kind of impact Charles Gardner did.

After the Sunday, October 25th, I drove down to Jackson, AL to be with Pastor David Webb and the Walker Springs Road Baptist Church. He invited me to be a part of their pastor’s fellowship on Tuesday morning and to also present my ministry to the church on Wednesday night. I also was able to attend one of their service they were having on Baptist Heritage. I had a great time meeting Pastor Webb and his people. I really appreciated how he help in getting me in contact with other pastors.

Tomorrow I will update you a little more on the funeral and also on this weeks meeting in South Carolina.
