Translating in Ellenwood, GA Tonight

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

Please be praying for Ronald and me.  We are part of Pastor Roger Davis’ mission’s conference tonight at Berean Baptist Church.  I will be translating for Missionary Ronald Tubillas while he preaches.

Dr. Thurman Wade from Macedonia World Baptist Missions is the main speaker that will be preaching after us.

We preached for Pastor Davis a couple of weeks ago when he was out of town preaching at another church.  He called me the next day and asked us to take part in their missions conference.  We look forward to being with this great church again.

Victory Baptist Church in Loganville, GA

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

Amy and I enjoyed ourselves very much this past weekend at with Pastor Lawrence and his gang.  We had a wonderful catered Chinese dinner on Saturday night with his staff in their new fire side room.  Then on Sunday we had three great services geared at challenging people towards world evangelism. It was also good getting to see all the folks that went on the Peru Trip 2009 with us.

We want to thank everyone from Victory Baptist for the fantastic weekend.  It was one of the most pressure free conferences we have been a part of.

On top of the wonderful treatment, the church is also taking us on for monthly support.  Praise the Lord!

Great Missions Conference in Atlanta

Monday, August 17th, 2009

We ended the conference with Pastor Gary Ledford last night.  We had a great time and were privileged to hear Dr. Charles Keen preach yesterday morning and last night.  He challenged all of us to do all we can to get the gospel to the unreached people groups.  I appreciate his heart and burden for the unreached people of the world.

I was able to teach Sunday school to their Spanish department and then present our ministry in the PM service to the entire church.

We want to thank University Baptist Church for the great meals they provided, the generous love offering, and the monthly support!  The church voted to take us on last night for which we are very grateful.  We look forward to partnering with them to get the gospel message around the world.

I also need to add that the place they took us out for lunch yesterday was out of this world.  It started with valet parking if that tells you anything.  I can honestly say they showed us more honor than we deserved.

Thank you Pastor Ledford and thank you University Baptist Church.

University Baptist in Atlanta, GA

Saturday, August 15th, 2009

The whole family was able to travel with me tonight seeing it was only a 30 minute trip.  We attended University’s Missions Banquet.  The food at this banquet was some of the best missions banquet food I have ever had.  The church gave out recipes from all over the world to church members.  Even though they had never cooked that meal before, they all did a terrific job.

Pray that the services go well tomorrow.  I will be teaching their Spanish Sunday school service at 10:00am and presenting our ministry during the evening service.    Pastor Gary Ledford has been a close friend and I am grateful for the privilege of of being a part of his missions conference.

Translating with Missionary Ronald

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

Tonight I had the privilege to translate for Ronald Tubillas.  Ronald is a missionary with Macedonia World Baptist Missions to the Hispanic people in the US.

We were at Berean Baptist Church in Ellenwood, GA where Bro. Roger Davis is the Pastor.

It’s always an encouragement to me every time Ronald gives his personal testimony.  It reminds me of the importance of training men and investing in people’s lives.

I thank Pastor Davis and his people for the opportunity to allow us to come and share our burden.

Cool Springs Baptist Church

I had a good meeting tonight with Pastor Travis Martin and the people of Cool Springs Baptist Church in Chatsworth,Ga.  Please be praying for Pastor Martin.  He has had problems with lungs/throat which has kept him from preaching for the last four weeks. I know he is eager to get back into his own pulpit.

Lindsey Memorial Baptist Church

Sunday, August 2nd, 2009

Amy, the kids, and I had a great meeting tonight at Lindsey Memorial Baptist Church in Rocky Face, GA with Pastor Wayne Gribble tonight.

I enjoyed preaching out of Matthew Chapter 22 on the greatest commandment.  The people were very receptive and had such a sweet spirit.  I also love the pastor’s emphasis on prayer during the service.

Pray for my cousins- Missionaries Jeremy and Bekah Hall

Saturday, August 1st, 2009

I just found out from Jeremy, that he and his wife will be having their twins babies today at 2pm by way of c-section.  One of the many neat things is today is Jeremy’s 31st birthday.  What an awesome birthday present!

Pray that the surgury goes well.  They are in Arequipa, Peru away from their families and this is their first time ever giving birth.

Also pray they are able to cover all the expenses of the births.  They are still short around $3000.  If you would like to help with this expense please send your gift to Macedonia World Baptsit Missions- c/o Jeremy Hall babies fund.  P.O. Box 519- Braselton, GA 30517.
I will send pictures as soon as I have them.  If you would like more information about them you can visit their web site at www.jeremyhall.org.
